Party Wall- extension already built

Hi,
I have a house which is rented out and which I don't visit often.
Last year I received a request from a neighbour to complete an extension which would affect one of my walls. I replied to the letter saying that this would be ok but heard nothing back - I assumed I would be sent documentation and a surveyor appointed on my behalf etc - so I thought that they had had not gone ahead and life being the way it is, didn't give it a second thought as there is so much else going on.
Having driven past this weekend the extension is fully complete.
I am considering selling the house come November all being well, and now don't know where I stand.
What do I need to ask of the neighbour? Will I need additional documentation when I come to sell it?
Thank you

It's unlikely you need anything unless there are obvious problems with the work.
You could ask the neighbour for a copy of the building control sign off.Changing the world, one sarcastic comment at a time.0
