Do you need a screen that big? a 19 inch is more of the norm and could save you money0 -
As a rule I would usually advise people to search the internet for deals on computers.
Dell
Mesh
ebuyer
Savastore
overclockers
microdirect
cclcomputers
Plus loads of other online stores on ebay. Quite a few sellers on ebay will have proper shops as well so they will be reliable.
Normally better deals are to be had than high st/retail park retailers.
All those big shops to run, staff to pay, tv adverts to buy etc etc bumps up the prices.

For what? What are you planning to do with it? Games, video editing, phot editing, Internet Browsing, Word Processing? Give us a clue what you want to do and peopel will be better able to advise you.
Having said that it looks OK, 2Gb of RAM is good, 256Mb dedicated Graphics Card is good although it would be nice to know the model. The processor is OK although presonally I prefer Intel Core 2 Duos at the moment. Never heard of Emprex monitors, personally I wouldn't buy a widescreen monitor less than 22", pity it's only got a VGA connector and not DVI though.
One other point, would a Laptop be more useful to you at University? It's my problem, it's my problem
If I feel the need to hide
And it's my problem if I have no friends
And feel I want to die0 -

It's a perfectly reasonable PC but a little like buying a Merc CLS to commute 5 miles to work a day. You are spending £200ish more than you need if you buy this computer.
Order the below with XP Pro not Vista, alter the warranty to 1 year and buy it through Quidco, comes out at about £260.
