Letter saying one thing, website another

I received a provisional credit offer letter the other month saying I would get £117 for the first month (may) then £113 every month after but when I logged in to see my working tax credit record (the site where you can renew online) it says that my next payment on June will be £56 - which should I believe?

We don't know as we are unaware of your circumstances, have you considered telephoning them?0

Call them tomorrow.
Without knowing your circumstances it's difficult to give much advice as to what is accurate.0 -
Right well I spoke to HMRC this morning (after only 20 minutes on hold i might add -that's definitely a record) - and they say that my original claim in 2015 for my 2014-2015 income was £9000something and that since my income for 2015-2016 was £11,000 this has caused there to be a reduced amount that I can claim for which I was a bit surprised and concerned about but I knew that this would be my last year eligible for tax credits for the forseeable future anyway. The truth is out there... and I want to believe0

What they have told you would be correct. An increase in income of £2000 would see a decrease of £820 tax credits for the year so £63 every 4 weeks.0

The amount I will get now is £46 a month apparently (after the one off payment of £52). But asides that I'm glad that's what it is about as I was worried it could have been some kind of overpayment situation. The truth is out there... and I want to believe0
