flights booked through agent - any chance to upgrade them through BA directly?

I booked some flights to Peru for good money starting in Amsterdam - however - they are in economy.
is there any chance to upgrade them through BA? I called em and the agent I spoke to wasn`t really sure what to do and advised to contact the agent (bravofly) but they pointed me back to BA.
any suggestions or experience?
thanks

Are you looking to upgrade with cash or Avios? An Avios upgrade is highly unlikely if you've booked via an agent, as BA will only upgrade the more expensive flexible economy fares if the booking was made via a TA. Of course, there also needs to be redemtpion availability in the cabin you wish to move to.
For a cash upgrade, an upgrade in advance is likely to cost you the same as booking the higher category, even if Bravofly are willing/able to do it. You will probably not be offered any special upgrade deals in advance due to making the booking via a TA, though they could happen at online checkin. A paid airport upgrade is also a possibility.0 -
are all flights on the ticket BA flights? If you have any other airlines on the ticket you cannot upgrade a TA booking with avios0

Hey,
thanks for replies!
I was hoping for Avios, but cash would be fine as well.
Not all flights are with BA, outbound it is BA and LAN, inbound it would be iberia and BA.
so my best chance seems to be waiting for online check in or asking at the counter? Also hold a Airberlin Gold card (one world sapphire) if that helps somehow.
thanks
