Does anyone know if you send further evidence to the main address at the top of the Tribunal letter or to the venue that the appeal will be held at. Can't ring till Monday so any help would be appreciated.

My letter stated that I needed to send a copy to the DWP as well, I didnt do this and in fact when I received confirmation back from the tribunal office acknowledging receipt of my extra information they said they had sent a copy to the DWP anyway.0 -

Thanks I had assumed it was the one at the top of the letter ( HM Courts & Tribunals service Birmingham) just wanted to hear from anyone whos been through this process0 -
Also when you send further evidence to the Tribunal Service (TS) do quote your NI number and the TS reference.
It needs to be with the TS at least 7 working days before the hearing date.
The TS will sent it on to the tribunal panel members. They will also send it to the DWP and back to you (this will confirm to you that they have received it).

I sent mine to Birmingham too. My appeal was last Wednesday at 2.00pm. At 1130am I had a call from Wolverhampton stating I did not need to attend the appeal hearing and they had increased my daily living to enhanced by reading my appeal letter.
Good luck0 -
There is no time limit for evidence to be submitted you can take evidence along on the day and submit it to the clerk to the tribunal who will inform the Panel there more evidence.Alice_Holt wrote: »Also when you send further evidence to the Tribunal Service (TS) do quote your NI number and the TS reference.

Downside to this is the DWP has a right to be informed of any new evidence prior to a hearing, so the tribunal MAY adjourn the case for a later date so the both parties can prepare based on the new evidence.
OR
The DWP may ask for a set aside in the case if based on papers.
If your wish to submit new evidence OP, then submit it the address at the top of the tribunal letters, they will copy it the DWP and then send you the original back.
But to show yourself in good standing with the tribunal, Make a copy to the DWP yourself by writing the address at the top of you PIP letters and send signed for, Because if they "get lost in post" from the tribunal service the excuse for a set aside/adjournment by a DWP REP (if one turned up in your case) will be crushed when you can prove you provided a copy also and prove they are just not organised.0 -

The disadvantage with taking in evidence on the day of the tribunal is that the panel then have little time to review it.
If the evidence is extensive there is the danger that this could cause the panel to adjourn the hearing while they assess it.
It is also a possibility that members of the panel may be unhappy that the evidence has been supplied late.
Sometimes it is unavoidable i.e when a GP's letter supporting the appeal does not arrive in time to post to the TS, but I would suggest that it is best to adhere to the TS guidelines for submiiting evidence:
"If you do have documents that you want to use to support your appeal, please send them
(or photocopies) to us as early as possible in the appeals process. Do not wait until you
are actually at the tribunal hearing. Producing important documents at the last moment
may result in the tribunal deciding that the hearing has to be adjourned, so that both the
tribunal and DWP have a fair opportunity to consider the late evidence in full and are not
rushed. If you send documents to us as evidence, we will make copies and send them to
DWP before returning them to you. Please bear in mind that as a general rule DWP (and for
child maintenance cases the other parent) is entitled to see any documents you send in to
us. Fairness demands that each side has the opportunity to see and challenge the evidence put before the tribunal"

Don't know why your repeating what ive also said in my post, you even edited that bit out of my post in your reply simply to say the same thing in a long winded way.Alice_Holt wrote: »The disadvantage with taking in evidence on the day of the tribunal is that the panel then have little time to review it.

You also proved yourself wrong in that there is no time limit :T.
Don't know the reason for you post most people admit their wrong and move on you seemed to have made it personal for some reason and lost track of my correction of your post, and that was simply there is no 7 day limit on submitting report or evidence to the tribunal panel.
PS if the DWP don't turn up they cant object or ask for an adjournment of the case.
in most cases the tribunal accepts the evidence on the day with good reason for not producing it earlier and if the DWP do turn up they usually ask for a recess of 15 mins to mull over the paper and then continue that's based on my experience with tribunals and small claims courts also.0
