Can anyone recommend a printer?

I'm looking for a new printer that will have low ink costs and a reasonably good finish print. I've been looking around but with so many different printers I'm getting confused.
I'd be using black most of all but do use colour sometimes.
I'm looking at under £75 budget please.

Just joined the HP instant ink too. Got a 3 month free trial and the first three months gives you upto 300 pages until you work out your usage. I'm only a low user so have opted for the 50 page option at £1.99 p/m for now. Even better value if you print more colour.
May not be the very cheapest option but I hate the kids telling me the ink's run out in some life or death printing situation. Plus I've had varied results in the past with compatible cartridges.

Don't be put off by it being a Professional printer. This just means it will last for more than a year.
The comments I post are my personal opinion. While I try to check everything is correct before posting, I can and do make mistakes, so always try to check official information sources before relying on my posts.

I agree, it's an excellent printer. The only reason I've traded down from it is because I could never find the 934/5 ink in a hurry, unlike 360s you couldn't just find them on display at the supermarket / Wilko, and waiting for Argos / Amazon (not a prime member) to get them in was a PITA if needed urgently.

Also, never once did I find them on offer!

The cheaper the printer, the more expensive the ink. As a general rule........

That's often the case. But occasionally, a cheap printer will be so popular that there's a big enough market to churn out unbranded cartridges at low prices too.

Whatever printer you get, check eBay and Amazon, etc. to make sure there are lots of places to get cheap replacement cartridges in future.
