After at first trying these with an open litter tray and not rating them I'm now using them with a covered tray and am finding them great.
Anyone on here who uses them, how often do you change the whole tray? I have read where it can be changed once a week as long as the poo is scooped out daily which I'm doing but I can still smell urine a little before the week is up but to change more often would be too expensive.
I've tried topping it up with scented litter but my two cats don't like this and they end up going outside the tray. Is the cat litter freshener stuff worth getting?

I've just had a look at these, they look really expensive compared to loose litter. Do you find they're cheaper or just easier to use?
I would imagine that if you can smell urine on them the cats definitely will and might well not use them, the same goes for the litter freshener. I think it's more for owners benefit and the cats will usually smell whats underneath it, I might be wrong though!0 -
I would perhaps try bicarbonate of soda - it's a natural deodouriser, but with no real scent of its own, hopefully it won't deter the cats.0

I use these, but I top up with normal non clumping Catsan litter (in the blue bag), I make sure my cats litter is really deep, for two cats it lasts at least a week and no smells. (I scoop any solids)0

Zooplus always have them on offer which makes them a little more affordable.0 -
Bloomin hell they're expensive!
We use oko, we scoop any deposits as soon as we discover them, it must be about three months since we emptied the tray. The only downside is when you top up the litter it does smell a little like a clean rabbit hutch for an hour or so.0
