Tesco CC repayment on weekend now accepted on that date?

We pay our Tesco CC repayments manually. In the past, if I missed the due date was a non-banking day and did not pay early, we were charged all late payment fees.
This happened again in April, and I made an online payment on Sunday, expecting the payment date to be Monday and all the fees on May's statement. But they are not there.
I cannot see any mention anywhere that Tesco has changed its policy for non-banking days.
Does anyone else know please?

Don't know but why habitually pay late?
A direct debit for the minimum amount would solve the problem, or even logging in it your online account a few days early and paying then or setting up a future payment for a couple of days before.
It's if course not just the fees but late payments will have an effect on your credit file as well.0 -
We don't habitually pay late - it happens less than once in a few years and as we always pay in full, the fees would be small - Tesco has refunded the charges in the past.0

Good for Tesco credit card users to know in a crunch.
The issue is that faster payments dont actually need to arrive til Tuesday (sent over a weekend) . So you are gambling that the both the money arrives and Tesco process it.This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
