HI. My local store has Leyland Trade Super Leytex High Opacity Matt emulsion at £20 for 10l. I need to redecorate and was going to use their vinyl matt emulsion. I know the leytex is good for new plaster but can I use it/should I use it instead of the vinyl? Pros and cons appreciated as I dont really know anything about laytex paint. Many thanks.

Do not use Super Laytex as a finished product. It is chalky, it will rub off the wall and it will mark. It is also a matt finish, so you decide if you require this, or a form of gloss.
Super Leytex is never intended to be along term job.0 -
Super Leytex will be fine for ceilings as they are unlikely to get marked but if you want even the slightest hint of durability go with the vinyl matt on the walls.0

Thanks very much for the info. It seemed a good price for the quantity of paint but if its not the right product for the job then there is no point. Not come across laytex paint and just thought I might be getting a superior paint for the price. Will stick to the standard vinyl. Thank you for replying. Cheers0

I don't think it actually contains latex, its just a brand name.0
