Although I would never enter this competition as it is monetary gamble I am really impressed on how well it is run.

You can see who the winners were going back 16 years. Names as well as photos here ...

By clicking on the orange 'View Competition Results' you can also see where the ball was judged to be, who were the witnesses to the judging and who was auditing the judging.

In the Daily Mail article there are many readers posting in the Comments section dubious about couples winning it twice. However my take on it is - if some couples are winning it more than once it is probably an indication of just how many entries they are putting in.

I would be interested to know how much money some of these winners have spent entering over the years.

Make sure everyone here didn't miss this, no idea if it's posted on Mse, https://twitter.com/BOTB_Dreamcars/status/733695321881071616 I've won a few of their spot comps and have their tweet alerts come through to my phone so never miss them.

Don't know but for the last available six months their revenue was about £5,000,000.

It's a shame they get so many scam comments. I've entered it a few times over the years, but have done

It's a shame they get so many scam comments. I've entered it a few times over the years, but have done so more often over the last few months because I'm registered on Pistonheads and spend a lot of time on there. They've had 5 winners who are Pistonheads members and a young lad won a Range Rover Sport back in February (which prompted me to enter more often recently) and he put a thread on the forum which is about 17 pages long now. He had his car delivered this week and was full of praise for the manner in which BOTB operate. It's no different than having a go on the lottery in my eyes, but I'd prefer to do BOTB as it's a bit more fun and loving cars gives me that dream they may knock on my door on the Tuesday morning with the keys to a car I could never buy myself.

My BIL won a Porsche with them last summer, the prize took a little while as he added lots of extras but everything went very smoothly. He has never told us how many tickets he bought but it would definitely have been a few hundred pounds worth :rotfl:

They don't seem to give any indication of the odds of winning (how many tickets are in each draw) so it isn't possible to say if it is an even worse bet than the lottery or not.

This is true, but from a personal point of view, I've had more money back from BotB for being close to the winning spot in 2 months of playing every week than I've ever had back from the lottery in 18 years of playing that every week.

I should add, that I think people need to be fully aware of the rules when it comes to winning though. It's relatively easy in my opinion to get close to where the winning spot is, but from seeing how close some people have been on Pistonheads recently and not even got a runners prize of £200 game credit, I don't think you are likely to win if you only enter once on any given week, because if 2 or more people are equally close to the chosen spot, the winner is determined by whoever has the next nearest entry.

They only do next nearest for the number of tickets purchased so if you only have one then they move straight on to the second tiebreak which is a new picture (if there were 4 and 6 tickets then next nearest would be used for 3 goes then the second tiebreak)
