GOTOGATE Fiasco. Help!

I booked in January my holiday to China with my son and girlfriend, flying Madrid - Frankfurt -Shanghai with GOTOGATE.(Airlines Iberia and AirChina) Today I've received an email informing me that the return flight will be 2 days later. (My departure date is scheduled for the 5th of June returning 22nd June) As you can imagine this is causing us terrible worry as none of us can take an extra two days holiday from work. GOTOGATE gave me the option to cancel but said they would have to find out if a refund was possible from the airline and if it was they would charge me (gotogate) 20 euros pp for admin charges and there also would be possible credit card charges to refund. Does anybody know if we have any redress or can an airline reschedule for any dates they please?

Many thanks in advance.

Now I have done what I should have done first and checked with Air China, there is a flight on the 22nd, so it may well be that the wonderful Gotogate, based in Sweden, has either booked the wrong date in the first place or missed the 'ticket by' date. I would telephone Air China and give them your booking reference, it may appear as a PNR consisting of 6 letters and numbers and find out what the booking is showing as flight 219 appears to be operating on a daily basis. Call your local office and see what they say

They generally can although the bigger issue is that you booked from a dodgy 3rd party site. As Alan Bowen says, there is an Air China flight on 22/6 so you need to call G2G to find out why you've been moved. And next time, book your ticket direct from the airline.
