ukpc long gone along with their signage , to be replaced by ES parking who due to lack of sponsorship money from trev can only afford about 4 signs
they can however afford cups of coffee , as they sit in a car (green Vauxhall) at the side of the road.

clearly not in a livered company vehicle and not clearly wearing full uniforms .

Get photos. Get an appeal in. If things are as you say, you MUST win, if not with the adjudicators, certainly with the courts.

Even a video will be most helpful if it covers the street in question.

Picture of lack of signage is your number one appeal point.
  • I received a letter for parking in the exact same place on the 4th June. Signs were on the other side of the road, not clearly visible at all and one would assume it related to the lay by on that side of the road especially since that side of the road had yellow lines.

Two other cars were parked in front of me and one behind so its not like I was alone in thinking that. They sent further pictures after wrote to them as an appeal also mentioning that sending me just a picture of my number plate is farcical.

Still no chance I'll be paying. Have appealed to the IPC as the next step.

Start your own thread if you need to when and if the PPC provides their 'evidence' but do NOT ask how to write the appeal. Most of us will tell you - DO NOT BOTHER, DO NOT HAND THEM THAT PERCEIVED ADVANTAGE.

NO REPLY ON THIS THREAD PLEASE. It's pbsnpara's thread.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I had a "Demand for payment of an unpaid parking charge notice" from ES Parking Enforcement for exactly the same place on the same date (June 4th). It referred to a previous letter which i never received.

I wrote back to ES Parking informing them i had not received any previous correspondence and said i was unable to address their parking "charge" without a copy of their original correspondence.

I received no reply from ES Parking, but subsequently received a "Letter Before Claim" from Gladstones Solicitors. I replied to this stating that i never received the original PCN and suggested they ask ES Parking to resend their original correspondence.

I've now received a reply from Gladstones saying unless i pay £150 within 14 days then "a claim will be issued without further notice and you may incur further costs". They also said my not receiving the original PCN was "an alternative dispute you may wish to take up with your local post office".

Not sure where to go from here! I was parked in the area mentioned above, the section outside the People's History Museum where there are no yellow lines and no signs. We were also displaying a blue badge (my girlfriend's, who had actually phoned ahead to the museum and had been told we could park there).

Put that phrase into the search engine here (change default to 'Show Posts'); there'll be a number of other threads with similar cases to learn from.

What a fly, unhelpful, cynical response, nailing their true colours firmly to the mast.

    Sickening!
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
