I'm after a lightweight portable laptop that doesn't break the bank. I mainly want it to edit word documents and e-mails and edit excel spreadsheets when I'm travelling. I think I'd prefer a windows based laptop but my friends are trying to convince me of a chromebook. I've a budget of about £400.
Can anyone recommend anything?

I have this one, its quite light, and has a 5-6 hour battery.
Also you get the best of both a laptop and a tablet
