Car Hire without a Credit Card?

Hi everyone,
My family and I have planned a long trip to morocco for 21 days in the summer. The plan was to book car hire from here, btu after lots of research it seems that without a credit card we will struggle to find anything. The companies with the best offers only take CC and those who take debit cards seem to be almost double the price.
I do have a CC with a £200 limit but I am not willing to take out another just for this. I dont want to increase my limit and i dont think my provider with give me such a high limit anyway.
I had considered renting locally but im sure this has its issues also.
Any help on this issue is appreciated.

I'm afraid you're probably caught between either sorting another credit card or buying taxing & insuring a car when you get there. Or discovering what the local public transport infrastructure is like first hand.
A credit card need not be for life.0
