Hi Redx
I use the old style forum. I decided to look at the new style forum the other day to see how much the Stickies stood out. I read a few threads and noticed part of you signature is chopped off (and someone else's but I can't remember who now, possibly PG). Sorry, meant to say earlier.
Just checked again, you can see it all but only if you click on the dropdown arrow.0 -
Final update on this issue then.
After I called the court I was able to change to court date since they miss-read the initial "not available" period.
In the meantime I had received their "witness statement" which 1) Arrived late 2) was proof that even the witness had not given enough care to the case. I could find errors in the facts and the reaction for my defence was in the phrases of "I reject that point of the defence because [input lie here]".
Long story short, I went to county court to find out that my case was not on the list for today and that they have dropped the whole thing a week ago and the claim has been discontinued.
They waited until the last moment to do it, probably to try and scare the innocent people involved until the end.
The good news is that I was confident that I would have won the case, given the fact that their case was full of holes.Probably they saw that they wouldn't have won and preferred to get the court money refunded to them.
I would like to THANK everyone that replied to this thread, and offered their priceless help on this adventure.
Good luck to the ones still fighting and do NOT stress about it. The people at the court were very friendly and helpful and the environment is good.
Thanks again!0 -
Very, very well done ...
Now you should go on this thread:

And give "Gin and Milk" some moral support if you have time ... I think she might appreciate it.0 -
Well done!
Did you ask for your wasted costs in travelling, missing work & attending? The Judge can order those to be paid by the claimant.
And can you contact the Parking Prankster with this success if you are happy for him to Blog about it to encourage others? It would be anonymous but needs the claim number and court/Judge/date, ideally.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Well done! But it makes me furious to hear these scumbags are dropping so many cases at the last minute and are not even informing defendants they're dropping it.
The courts too, in my humble opinion, should have a responsibility to inform the defendant that there is no need to attend. A lesson here, as things presently stand, is that we should all ring the court a few days before the due hearing to check it's still listed.
Anyway - well done you. The last six months of your life with that hanging over you is (almost) worth it.
One day, when victims get automatic expenses and/or are compensated for the time spent due to such cowboys, they'll stop trying it on. One day.0
