Just returned from a 2 week holiday and wanted to share an app that allowed me to send real postcards from my iPhone that arrived back with the family within two days and the quality was fantastic! I was using an app called Postsnap (https://www.postsnap.com), there seem to be quite a few apps out there but this was the best I found after trying a few. For £1.50 you get a physical card sent 1st class with your own photos and message and you could do all sorts to make it feel personal! I was really impressed - it took about 5 minutes to send 3 postcards to the folks back home and whilst it's not the most traditional way, there's no way I could have found the time to have written and posted a traditional postcard! Hope someone else can enjoy using this on holiday this summer!:j
Be happy :j

That's a good point @phatbear - in my case the people I was sending to aren't very tech-savvy and I actually quite like the idea of them having something physical they can put at home. Silvercar - I didn't know moonpig and funkypigeon did postcards, I can only find their greeting cards? All I wanted was to be able to send good value postcards with a personal message and photos of my holiday, so Postsnap suited my needs perfectly!Be happy :j0

Moonpig postcards here.
Funkypigeon post cards here. (Better selection and an offer at present).I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Thanks for the links... Moonpig pricing is ridiculous, only sold in packs of 8 so it works out as £6.64 for ONE postcard, funky pigeon is actually much better pricing £1.50 but I can't seem to add custom text to the front of their postcards, I can only seem to customize the front by adding a photo. I also find both their apps (for iOS) a little too clunky, but hey everyone is different! Personally, coming from someone who used to send real hand-written postcards up until not long ago, I thought Postsnap was an app worth sharing on here, it certainly saved me money as a traditional postcard plus postage worked out at £2.78 (EU) and, from past experience, there was no guarantee it would ever have arrived!Be happy :j0 -

Changing the front writing is easy on funkypigeon, it is the first option once you have chosen your card. Currently 99p.
Probably still cheaper to buy the postcard abroad and post it when you get home - likely to arrive quicker too!

I've used Touchnote a fair bit. Their app is flawless and the postage has always been very quick (to the UK). Their prices have crept up a bit though over the last couple of years, now £2.99 for a postcard (sure it used to be about £1.50 when they launched). That said they sell credit packs to save money, and periodically they have sales where the credit packs become pretty good value.
To the naysayers, older relatives love them!0 -

Touchnote was actually the app I used to use but it kept crashing on the latest update. Also, like you mention, I got a bit confused by the pricing, I like to know upfront how much I'm going to be paying! Happy to try alternatives if there are others out there? Just downloaded the funkpigeon app and there's no postcards on their app as far as I can see (only on their website for desktop) - happy to be corrected though!
If money is an issue, you're right, it may well have been cheaper to buy a cheap generic postcard and do it the old fashioned way, but I was literally in the middle of nowhere (just with a little 3G) so this was the perfect solution. Would you use the funky pigeon website on holiday, on my phone I can't seem to find their postcard section?Be happy :j0 -
I've used Touchnoteon and off for a few years now. They often have specials on credits which make it decent value.0
