Questions regarding courses purchased from ICS learn

Hello everyone, I'm new to this so I hope I'm in the right place.
Back in 2012 I purchased three different courses from ICS learn (distance learning courses/online courses). One was for GCSE English, one was for GCSE Maths and the other for GCSE Science. I received all of the material and just over a month after that, I received a job offer to work abroad for a year. I quickly realised that I wouldn't have the time to complete the courses before my student support with ICS expired and I was to leave the country so I contacted ICS to ask them what my options were. I did this numerous times and each time they told me there was nothing they could do, that I couldn't freeze my account and I couldn't have a refund, which I didn't really expect would be an option anyway. In the end the time came for me to leave and I went abroad for the year. I have contacted them since returning to the UK just in case policies have changed and I'm still out of luck. I did contact them just a few days ago and said whilst I wasn't expecting a refund at all as we are now 4 years on, I was hoping that we would be able to come to some sort of agreement in order for me to get my moneys worth - I have paid just over £1,000 in total. I suggested sending the material back to them and starting a new course but they told me I wasn't able to do that either. They did say that I could still complete the GCSE courses but that I wouldn't have any student support as so much time had passed and that the curriculum had changed anyway so sending the material back would be pointless. Also, I am now 4 years older and my GCSE results aren't as relevant as they once were (I decided to re do those GCSE's as I wasn't happy with my grades, but in no way were they bad and up until now, they have had no effect on my job prospects thus far).
I appreciate that all of this has come about due to my personal circumstances but I'm a bit reluctant to lose £1,000.
I'm not sure what my rights are if any at all, any advice would be appreciated.
Thank you,
Chloe

They have done nothing wrong, your going to have to put this behind you and move on.
The course was available to you so there is nothing you can do. After 4 years it's all out dated as they say and they are under no obligation to do anything else.0
