The Way I Save!!!

Hi Syrine here 27 years of age just want to share my story. I am a Pinay working as junior collection officers in credit card for 6 years. I started earning just 9k a month way back 2010 not deducted the tax and any deductions a regular employee has.

But even though I have small salary I manage my expenses well, I make sure not so spent beyond my means.

I also have this thinking of paying myself 1st before I spent my money for my other expenses. Paying myself 1st meaning I save a portion of my salary every month religiously. No matter how big or small I have, I make sure to pay myself 1st. I started 500, then 1000 and add more every time I have my salary increase.

So in my 6 years of working and being an employee I manage to save my money, and started to invest for my future.

I look for some investment, I get my life and investment insurance, I also manage to invest in the stock market.

Because in my back of my head, I know I need to do something, being an employee and having a stable job doesn't mean having a security for a long run.
You may feel secure today because you get your monthly pay check, but how about if you already retired.

Are you ready for it?

In life I always believe that we have our own choice.

So if you want to get ahead, you must get started.

It's not bad to plan and think of the future, what is not right is that you spend all you have today and say come what may tomorrow.

Like so many others I am just a regular employee, but I have not been seeing myself to be a slave forever.

I want to have changes in my life so in order for me to achieve that I need to make an action.

Because dreams without action is nothing.

What currency are you talking about?

There's no way a junior collections officer aged 21 was earning £9k a month in 2010.

That's not a small salary. I doubt even the CEO was taking home that much each month.
    :footie:
:p Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S) :p Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money. :p

I think Filipino Pesos. I've heard Pinay being something to do with the Phillipines.

Do you know your average savings rate?? (Amount saved per month/monthly income)
    Sounds like good grounding principles!

    Save 12K in 2020 # 38 £0/£20,000

When I am just starting, my savings every month is about 5% of my salary, then as may salary increase per year I also increase my savings 10% to 15%, even if my salary increase I make sure to still save and not increase my expenses maybe a little bit but not too much.
I am happy when I have already built my emergency fund that is about 3 months of my salary, then after that I start investing because if you will just leave your money in the bank the interest rate is very low.
I want to build to my retirement fund, so I look for some investment, and I manage to invest in the Philippines stock market.
