Contents insurance for Property Guardians?

Hi there,

I can't find anything relating to this anywhere so here's my firth thread ever...

I'm now living as a property guardian and looking at contents insurance.

There is no option in online quote forms for being property guardian as opposed to a tenant. (as I am not a tenant legally).

As I don't want to have an invalid insurance policy. Does anyone know anything that will help before I call up and (probably) get a ridiculous quote for contents insurance?

Thank you,

Eamonn

There is no such thing as property guardian to insurers. You are just a tenant, without a tenancy agreement.

Just enter yourself as tenant and arrange normal Contents Insurance. If you have limited requirements i.e small sum to be insured, try Endsleigh.
The comments I post are personal opinion. Always refer to official information sources before relying on internet forums. If you have a problem with any organisation, enter into their official complaints process at the earliest opportunity, as sometimes complaints have to be started within a certain time frame.
