EON Bill Dispute
Hi - I have had a complaint in with EON for the past few months over a disputed "debt" that they have added to my home electricity bill. On 26/4/2016 I asked for a full breakdown of the debt - but have now got a letter from bcwgroup bullying me.
What i need to know is - can EON "sell" the disputed debt on when I have still no details of what it covers - and as far as I am aware their complaint dept is still handling it? Thanks.

You say the complaint has been "with EON for the past few months"
If it's been with them for at least 8 weeks, you can now ask the ombudsman service to assist you - refer to the supplier's complaint procedure for more details
Yes, debts can be "sold" to others in certain circumstances.0 -

Hello rombij and welcome to the Forums.
I suspect there isn't an open complaint on your account as this would automatically stop debt follow up. Don't worry, as you've contacted us about this before, there'll be notes on the account and a complaint can be backdated to this time. This will stop further follow up whilst your concerns are investigated. I'd suggest contacting us as soon as possible so we can stop follow up. It may be, as you spoke to us about this 'months ago,' you can do as footyguy says and go straight to the Ombudsman if you wish.
What's the complaint about? You mention 'a disputed debt.' If you let me know the nature of the dispute I'll do my best to help or, at least, point you in the right direction.
Look forward to hearing from you rombij.
