Kaspersky Internet Security - Enabling Virtualisation

Hi
I had Kaspersky Internet Security (KIS) 2015 and was using the Safe Money component. This seemed to work fine on IE but I couldn't get it to work on Chrome.
I now have KIS 2016, but cannot get Safe Money to work with Chrome nor IE. Having investigated the reasons behind Chrome, apparently I have to enable virtualisation in the BIOS to get Safe Money to work. I have not investigated the reasons why Safe Money won't work with IE because Chrome is now my preferred browser.
Looking around the internet, it seems enabling virtualisation makes the computer a little bit less safe.
Any thoughts on enabling virtualisation? Is this something you would do, and if so, under what conditions.
Many thanks in advance.
