Painting mock tudor, which colour?

The outside of our house needs re-painting. I've already had a quote I'm happy with to repaint all masonry on the front and side and all the woodwork - mock tudor beams and soffits/fascias.

As you can see from the photo it's quite grubby and we've had some patches of blown render repaired. The woodwork appears to have had a dark brown stain in the past which has faded and the masonry some shade of salmon/pink. I don't particularly want to keep that colour scheme!

The only annoyance is the dark rosewood coloured upvc window frames, which we are stuck with. We dealt with them inside by painting them white (a lot of time and care and it looks good) but I don't think painting the outside is a good idea, so whatever we choose has to go with them. The front door is "black/brown" but in most lights just looks black.

It seems a bit boring but I'm thinking black woodwork and white masonry would be a classic combo. Is there really much else we could go with that would work?

Decorator has recommended sadolin for woodwork and sandtex for masonry which gives us a limited palette to choose from - probably a good thing to be honest if you saw how many tester pots I bought when we decorated inside!

Funnily enough our neighbours are having their house painted at the moment, first coat went on today. They had told me they'd gone for a light grey but it has a very light blue undertone. I think they are planning to go a bit darker on the next coat so I might have to keep in mind what ours looks like next to theirs as we are attached?

Any other ideas?

I think you are spot on with the woodwork colour. White sometimes looms a bit grubby and can show up render imperfections. Any neutral colour would go but if you wanted something bolder try the Sioux visualizer app and see what you think.
Some people don't exaggerate........... They just remember big!
