guys,
I have some questions and greatly appreciate your help.
what type of wall is this ? is it made from mud ?
the layer on top is plaster dried right ?
I am trying to plaster and paint it , is the order sand using grit 120, plaster and then paint ?
some of the holes are 2cm deep, can plaster be used to fill it in?
now question is, should i get ready mixed form screw fix which is £14 for 10kg or the bag from wicks 25kg for £6.
how hard is it to mix ? do i need any especial tools?
sorry for asking too many question and greatly appreciate your input

Unfortunately I don't think we need to see the photos to advise that you consider getting a professional in if your walls do need replastering. How much have you actually researched about what's involved in plastering?0

I have spent sometime on internet. I have no budget and pretty stretched so have to do it myself.
if anyone can help please do so as this is why I posted else I would have paid someone0 -
Can you post a link with spaces in, I can it back together again and repost.0

It does look like a reskim would be a vast improvement if the base plaster is sound, but really it's not a job for a beginner.
Maybe fill the worst holes with a decent filler, and hang lining paper?0 -
so plaster is the surface on top and below it if there anything that needs filling will need the ready mixed filler ?
once plastered then undercoat and paint ?0 -
Those holes are small enough to use polyfilla, smooth it on then once it's dry sand it smooth.
You don't use undercoat for emulsion, but you could water down the first coat 10% even though your plaster's not new.0 -
Easi Fil and a caulking paddle would be a good starting point. Mix it up and fill the holes. Once it has gone off sand back to flush with the wall. This is an easy job for a reasonable results plus you have the chance to sand it off and start again if it doesn't look good. Some people don't exaggerate........... They just remember big!0
