Random question about HSBC card

Hi All,
First time poster, so apologies if this has been asked before - couldn't see anything vaguely similar. Apologies for the long background to this!!
So, some years ago, in my late 20's/early 30's, my wife and I made quite a few financial mistakes. We ended up with a CCJ each, and quite a bit of debt on various loans. Following the harsh realisation of where we were soon after, we signed up with CCCS as they then were, and started down the path of paying everything off, which I'm pleased to say we've now done. No more debt other than the mortgage, which is great. Everything was paid off about 18 months to 2 years ago I believe.
I needed a credit card for various things, but despite 3-4 years of good behaviour (very good in fact), my rating was still low, so the only thing available was Aqua, who were very helpful. I don't have a great deal on the card (about £800 I think, due to an emergency repair) and am paying this off happily. It's much lower than the credit limit they gave me, which is good.
On reviewing my credit rating, I can see it rising month on month which is great. What I am aware of however is that one of my old HSBC cards is still an active account. It's actually 1p in credit as I get monthly statements for it!!
I haven't had the card for years, literally. I cut them all up. Thing is, it has a much, much better interest rate than Aqua - 17% as opposed to 38%.
Is it worth trying to see if they'll send me a new card and pin? I wonder if they would even? Looking at the credit report on Noddle, it's been marked as up to date for 6 years (that's how long I've not used it), but as I've not used it, would they even send a card?
My other worry is debts I'm not aware of. There's absolutely nothing on any credit record of any HSBC accounts, but what if they found something I wasn't aware of? (I've checked Experian, ClearScore or Noddle - I'm on them all as debt made me very aware of keeping track). I'm sure my old HSBC account was closed in 2008, maybe even 2006, but I worry!
Worth doing and safe to ask if so, do you think?
Thanks for any advice!

I have a similar situation with an account that's open but not active, in other words the bank has to all intents and purposes closed the account (stopped you spending) but it can't take the final step as they owe you money. I had two options, complete a form to have this money returned by cheque or transfer or send a letter asking them to give it to their nominated charity. There's no point having the account on your file just close it and move on.0

Relative had the same with Halifax, 10p on it, send a letter and tell them to close, they will give it to charity.0
