Ticket for stopping at a bus stop - Private Hire

Hi Everyone,

I am a private hire driver and stopped on a bus stop (in front of canons park station) to pick up the two passengers and due to this I have received a ticket. I did challenge it that I was allowed to stop but they have refused stating I was a hard to bus and disabled.

There was no bus or disabled person at that given time which was 25th of March at 23:47

Can someone please guide me how i can take this further? or is it really an offence hence pay it.......

Who issued the ticket? council or private company, and what exactly does this mean?

As we tend to major on private parking tickets here, PePiPoo will be your best bet for council tickets. Register there and post a new thread; here's your link:

Have a read through some of the other threads there before you post your own to get the hang of what information they need from you in your opening post - but as a minimum you will need to post redacted photos/scans of all correspondence you've received from the council (both sides, if appropriate) as they need to see all the small print.

PePiPoo has an excellent success record in dealing with council tickets.

You might also like to read this article which contains links to a DIY robot to appeal council tickets. Many have apparently used this to very good effect.
