I'll only ever go with swissgear from now on. You pay a little more but I've had mine for 4 years and it looks brand new, and it's build quality is solid as a rock.

Not to my taste, but, reviews pan out well and it looks like it has decent protection.

I've bought two or three of these Amazon Basics bags, and been quite happy with them.

It depends in part on just how many pockets you want...

Both amazon offerings look competent - my concern was always how well would they handle rain?


I ended up with a Lego satchel (in bright red) which not only held the laptop & all my cables & power blocks & stray mice but didn't scream "laptop please take one".


You may want to look at satchel type bags if you anticipate carrying your laptop in public in British Weather...

Another vote for swiss gear, and i would suggest a backpack for the extra flexibility.

Mine is the wenger synergy and is about 3 years old, has been all over the world on both business and pleasure ... And barely looks used. It cost about £45 though, but i rate it as a good buy and value for money.
