That's not very Money saving, Auto renewing tut tut tut, you should call their insurers to get a better deal"It is prudent when shopping for something important, not to limit yourself to Pound land/Estate Agents"

Previous owners of our last house had a Christmas card sent to them every year for the 7 years we lived there. It was from the same person but never had a return address so we couldn't do anything about it!0

Is that a record? Do I get a prize?

Until a few years back we were still getting an annual letter for the owner prior to the couple we had bought from. Our vendors had owned the house since the mid 70s so that makes 40 years!! Quite incredible0

A real shame if their insurer was to be informed that one of their customer's addresses is no longer up to date. The customer could have their policy cancelled as they are "in gear".0 -
We've owned our current house for over 9 years and are still receiving Xmas cards. The previous owners emigrated to Spain.0

I have had post addressed to people who moved out of here in 2002. I've also had post for all 3 families who have lived here in between.
I think I have the record for the largest amount of post for a previous owner by weight. I rented out a property for a year to a music journalist. He moved out in September and didn't get a redirection, and I can't stop his post. The property is empty at the mo and when I go there every few weeks I can hardly get in the front door for all the CDs he is getting. There's usually about 50-60 packages (as well as all his normal post) each time. First couple of times I dumped it on the letting agent's desk and asked them to tell him to get a redirection, but after a few months I couldn't keep doing that so have had to mark all of them 'return to sender' and haul them down to the post box but they keep on coming!
you can inform the post sorting office only to deliver letters with your name on - to return the rest0 -

No record-breaking attempts in terms of longevity, but I have received one or two fairly bizarre items addressed to the old lady I bought my house from, including at one point a tax disc for her mobility scooter! Nowadays though it's mainly just stairlift brochures (which she definitely doesn't need as she moved to a bungalow) and the odd thing that suggests a window business was once based at the property (either her late husband, or one of her sons, but either way a long time ago as she was living alone when I bought the property in 2012).
Am I alone in just recycling most of it, rather than marking return to sender? Obviously I made efforts to pass the tax disc on, and one or two other bits like hospital appointment letters, but generally I don't really stress about it?0
