Reconditioned Engine supplier in SW?

It looks like the timing chain has snapped on my poor little car ... which unfortunately means new engine or the big scrapyard in the sky.

I've been trying to price up a reconditioned engine but I'm wary of people claiming they're "reconditioned" when they're really just second hand. I don't know anyone reputable down this end of the country - can anyone on MSE recommend a company (by PM if needed)?

I'm based in North Wiltshire, but would travel a reasonable distance for a decent price & reputation!

I would recommend a used, rather than reconditioned, engine: Reconditioned has so many possible meanings, from just cleaned & painted to fully rebuilt. There are plenty of sellers on Ebay with genuine feedback, and most will deliver anywhere in the country for £50 or less - then find yourself a recommendation for a decent local independent mechanic to fit it.
