Any Recommendations for a 1200 DPI BW Laser Printer?

I've always bought HP Laser printers (black and white only)
I'm now experimenting with laser toner foiling and the results with my old, current HP are a bit patchy on even small blocks of toner.
Does anyone have any recommendations for a 1200dpi black and white laser printer? Speed etc not as important as dense toner coverage.
