3rd party claim

Options
Last June I had a third party claim against my car insurance. I disputed this and I have today received a letter from my insurance company stating that there is no longer a claim against me as the third party has now dropped the claim. When I renewed my insurance last year they increased my premium and reduced my no claims bonus. My question is, since the claim has now been dropped can I ask to get my no claims bonus back and the £130 they increased my insurance by.

Yes there should be some refund as there is no longer an 'open' claim. Rather than ask, I would demand a refund and reinstatement of NCB.

Its possible that the claims dept wrote to you at the same time as advising the underwriting dept.

Just query with them, they may already be processing the adjustment.
