Sorry Rich - you missed out the 'www' it should be:
Unless, of course you did it deliberately to get another plug - only joking. :rotfl: :rotfl:I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.

Sounds like you are having an extremely worrying time at the moment. Debt is a terrible thing, and I can only imagine how you must be feeling. Like someone has already said, 'whats done is done' concentrate or taking as much control as you can of your future. I think you are brave in posting your situation, and I wish you the best of luck !
I will leave all the good advice to the more knowledgeable members.
Keep posting, you will be amazed what a relief it is just to talk about your problems.

Hi, just a thought but are you 'ok' about losing the house or would you like to keep it ? Its worth pointing out to your previous employer that if your assetts from the house are £11,500 then the insolvency service will take virtually all that leaving your employer with nothing and the bill for going through with the ststutory demand ( £590 + solicitors costs )
Remember the original demand costs them virtually nothing to issue, it costs if they go through with it

Hi
Mention to your Ex Employer that you have also £40k to further reduce his bit when the equity is distributed.
There is not enough Equity after costs for the OR to want to seek possession of the property to realise the beneficial interest and I doubt the Ex Employer will go further unless he is vindictive.

Hi debt doctor,
Why would the fromer employer get nothing?
I realise the O.R's fees are deducted before anything is paid to creditors, but those fees are not going to be £11.5k; are they

Hi Richard, yes thats a typical insolvency service cost that I see in the office in our region where the IS have disposed of a property including estate agents fee's. Usually of course there are no where near the funds available to cover these costs but if there are the IS pay themselves first.
About 6 months ago I had a client who did nt pay his council tax, had the huff because it had gone up significantly since the last year. The debt ( and this was the ONLY debt he had) was for £900. ( plus the current year )
He took no advice and ignored the councils statutory demand. The insolvency service fees on that occassion were £13000. It was very sad, as it was too late and there was nothing I could do.Debt Doctor, Debt caseworker, Citizens' Advice Bureau .
