Credit Check for new job

Hi all, first post so let me know if this isn't in the correct section.
So, I got a call today from an employer regarding an interview I have recently attended. The employer basically said I had the job, subject to a satisfactory credit report. They are sending me forms for this in the next few days.
I am concerned as I do have a defaulted account for an old phone contract with (then) T-Mobile (balance is £608 although original debt was ~£60, I am being chased from Lowell for this. I am also not sure if this is a CCJ or not). I guess it is worth mentioning that I have moved house in the last year and my new address is not on my credit report (Noddle).
My question is, am I likely to pass this check with all considered? Will me being at a new address help me 'slip under the radar' so to speak?
Many thanks!

Why is your new address not on your credit file ? Have you informed you bank of your new address ? Have you signed on to the electoral roll ?
Will you get the job - it all depends what the job is, how in depth they need to look and how squeaky clean you need to be.0 -
Hi DoosanB,
Credit files are linked to individuals and not addresses so the fact that your new address isn't on your file won't change what the employer can search, but if you haven't registered on the electoral role that would normally have a negative impact on your overall credit rating (but I can't see how that would be relevant to a new employer?)
Perhaps you need to check the small print of the job advert again - why do they need a credit check? Is it to check if you have been insolvent in the last 6 years, or would a CCJ and/or default be an issue too? And would they still be an issue if they were paid in full (is that an option for you if it would help you get the job)? Good luck, fingers crossed you can sort it out.
