Sorry you are having this problem. I tried today to register with their site. What a complicated business and I didn't understand how to enter what I needed to. Suspect this HA makes things needlessly complicated. I hope sense starts ruling rather than rules.., if you have the deposit, increasing earnings AND a guarantor, it makes no sense that they've withdrawn their offer.
Please let us know if they are able to introduce human judgement into the mix (can't believe they are using Homelet.., an expensive way of doing referencing for what you get)0 -
I thought they would use common sense, clearly not. I even offered to pay 6 months rent upfront, with the savings I have, then each month I would save the rent amount AND an extra £150 that wouldve been discounted.
Its not the fact that the pulled the plug, its the fact that they made me go through the process for nearly a month, then confirm everything was good to go and told me the fact that I wasnt getting the keys early is because theres no available slots. Then less than 24 hours before I'm due to move ( after i've ordered phone, broadband, sky, furniture, stuff from ebay, groupon etc etc etc to the new address) then called to tell me that they cant and that there is nothing that can be done.
PS homelet is one of the worst referencing company, 9/10 of their staff are so blunt and unhelpful. They are one of the reasons why this fell through too. Passing on incorrect information.0 -
Hi, I made a complaint and still haven't heard anything. Their complaints process states that I'd get acknowledged within 2 working days of the complaint and it's been nearly 5.
Who should I now take this up with?0
