How do i know my IVA has finished

Hi
I have an IVA that reached 60 months in February of this year and I live at home with my parents so have no mortgage etc as some people have said that could cause an issue, In January I received my annual review letter telling me I had reached the end of my 5th year and that they require my wage slip and p60 as per normal which I sent off.
Usually by April I have had a letter/phone call saying my payments are staying the same or to amend my standing order to a new amount.
As of today I still have not heard anything at all back from them and my payments are still going out and this will be month 64, I sent an email to my supervisor on Friday but have had no reply.
In the past when I have contacted them to ask information they have said I should not contact them directly as I have no right to do so and that they could fail my IVA so I am reluctant to start making phone calls.
They are taking £525 a month so I am just looking to see what is going on it just seems that I am going to be forever paying them and getting no information in return.
I have my IVA with Cleardebt but it would be nice to know something eg has my iva failed for some reason, Is there an issue with a creditor?
Any suggestions and advise would be very much appreciated.
Thanks
Martin

I'm sorry to hear you are dealing with a company with such poor communication policy. An IVA could never be failed through you trying to contact the IP. I personally always believe in calling and then getting an email confirmation of what was said and with my own company (iva now complete) i had no issue. I would call them as you have very good reason to do so. When your IVA completes you will recieve a note detailing all payments and it will have a comment somewhere from your IP saying you have satisfied your commitments. It does not look anything like a certificate even though they call it that. Mine came in 3 weeks after my last payment with a confirmatory email also but i know many companies take months to deal with these. Good look0

I did not see when writing the first response that you weer with cleardebt. My IVA was actually with cleardebt and they were great with me. Send an email directly to David Mond or Elaine (whichever is your IP) and they will instruct contact or deal with it themselves. I never had any issue with them. Very surprised...0

Perhaps the main IP's as detailed above aren't aware of what one particular rep is saying...I would include that you were threatened with failing your iva for communicating but send direct to your main IP now not the rep but focus on completion details or what has been decided. This company sticks to the rules as David Mond is behind many positive changes to IVA policy0

Hi
Thanks for the reply, Well I just rang them and first thing I was told is they have been taken over by another company and the transition of all the documents has put a delay of weeks on everything being processed.
I explained to her that I heave not heard anything back and she checked the system and said the documents were received.
I explained that the 60 months were up (Which turned out to be January not Feb) and she put me on hold to check the system.
She came back and said that I have completed my commitment to the IVA but I said I am still paying because I have heard nothing back, She said the last payment was due January and that I need to cancel the standing order with the bank and that she will forward this on straight away to the review team and that the 3 month extra payments I have been making will be refunded once the IVA has been closed.
I was still reluctant to just cancel the standing order because I have received no physical documents but she assured me I have honoured my commitment to the IVA and make all required payments and that I must cancel the standing order, She will then email the review team with the details to speed up the process and refund.
So the standing order has been closed and I am still waiting for them to come calling when they do not get May's standing order.
Thanks

Hi,
that's great..curious what was the first name of who you dealt with today?
Ask them to send an email to confirm when you hear and then your defo safe if you keep that copy. You could do this by sending an email to him/her confirming your cancellation of the SO today and asking them acknowledge.
They usually sort the completion paperwork quickly.
Make a note of who you spoke to and time date etc at least.
They'll get back to you believe me. i found them great. Surprised their being taken over...I wonder if its just a business move with the same poeple in charge
Good look with the future. A great feeling once it's all done.0 -
Hi who was your ip at cleardebt ? We was first with a guy named Mackenzie an then Sailesh those who I dealt with were great was never told not to call them was told to call as much as I liked if I had any worries (I called a lot at the beginning with questions lol) I'm now with aperture who they sold quite a lot of their portfolio to due to what I've read David Mond taking a step back a little.
Aperture at the moment aren't quite on the ball with our goings on in our iva and tbh a little slow to respond sometimes at the moment I'm waiting for my part of my ppi 3months and counting which is ridiculous tbh we will be submitting a full and final soon due to a change in our circumstances we just hope they aren't that slow in dealing with that as we won't be able to carry on with our payments0 -
My main IP was David Mond (I think they only have 2 full IP's the rest are the direct liaison personell although qualified at this)) but the persons I dealt with changed over time from Jorden to Markinkiw to Simester (not using full names but if you know them you know them). All were good even though I wasn't happy at changing they all reassured me and were happy to take calls. I did deal directly with D Mond at the beginning when i had a few queries but then I was happy to deal with his reps. They restructured a couple of time to deal with the growing business but all in all a great team when compared with some of the horrors i hear on here.
regarding ppi. I signed paperwork and then resigned a year later for reasons never explained. It took 2 years to complete and i got my check for the first 500quid. PPI not completing before the end of iva no longer delays awarding completion details (with cleardebt anyhow).0
