W10 Boot order

Have forgotten password for local account and have burnt a password recovery disc.

How do I boot from it ?

What's your computer? May need to go into BIOS and add "Boot from DVD" option.

I don't have a Lenovo but, assuming you can get in the BIOS, something like this...
Try changing Boot mode to Legacy Support. Then another option will be displayed (Boot Priority). Set Boot Priority to Legacy First. Save and Exit.

Excluded from boot order:

Which one should I put first? Have tried a few but no joy.

Just thinking about what you're doing, I'm not sure if your "password recovery disk" is a boot disk. When the login prompt comes up, type a random password, enter and is there a "reset password" prompt? That's where you'll need your "password recovery disk". I'll just check this on a W10 rig...

EDIT: W10 is different. damn.

EDIT2: assuming you have a boot disk, the H30 manual says F12 will present a Startup Device list

Hmm. If you're using the trial (free) version I'm not sure if it'll work (for obvious reasons). The disk should boot though (did you get anywhere with F12 as per the Lenovo manual?).

F12 brings up screen as post 5

The DVD drive is Sata3 DVD-RAMSW840.

Try the entry with DVD in the name. Strangely enough that will be the DVD drive.
