1 teach her not to go upstairs.
2 fit a stair gate at the stairs or to prevent her access to the hall or wherever the stairs are.0 -
Do you mean stop her trying to get on the stairlift or stop her going upstairs at all?0

OP are you concerned that with the stairlift in place your dog won't be able to get upstairs ?
There's plenty of room for people to be able walk up alongside a lift and I am sure your dog would soon learn to keep clear.Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0 -
Ask them to install a key switch to the stairlift and don't give the dog the key?0

our dog doesn't go upstairs- we've never let her up there. Once in a while she ventures up but is firmly told off and that's it for a few months.0

My suggestion would have been a stair gate but it depends which kind of stair lift is being fitted and whether a stair gate could fit in front of one.0

Might help if you said how you stop her going upstairs atm?Signature removed for peace of mind0
