Parking ticket in post as i drove off before stuck to window

Hi

If you guys will be so kind to advise me on my latest PCN.

Parked on main council road during prohibited times - granted.
Saw the guy issuing a ticket, i quickly drove off, parked and came back to him as he had not finished the ticket - it was actually printing as i drove off !

I got a ticket in the post to my OLD DVLA address (my parents address - they luckily brought me the letter) I received the letter 15 days after the 14 days of their dated letter.

Letter says driver drove off during ticket being issued. There is 2 photos of my car but no ticket to windscreen.

Do i have a claim to say the Contravention did not occur? And if so what proof do they have i was parked illegaly?

When i came back to the scene, they attendant was taking photo of the notice sign of times, but not sure if there is any grounds.

Please advise

Thank you

Mayur

If you haven't notified your change of address to the DVLA (separate notifications for driver licence and car's V5C - there's no read-across) you'll be heading for another fine!

That aside, as we tend to major on private parking tickets here, PePiPoo will be your best bet for council tickets. Register there and post a new thread; here's your link:

    http://forums.pepipoo.com/index.php?act=SF&s=&f=30

Have a read through some of the other threads there before you post your own to get the hang of what information they need from you in your opening post - but as a minimum you will need to post redacted photos/scans of all correspondence you've received from the council (both sides, if appropriate) as they need to see all the small print.

PePiPoo has an excellent success record in dealing with council tickets.

You might also like to read this article which contains links to a DIY robot to appeal council tickets. Many have apparently used this to very good effect.
