tax credits payment slightly more than normal

Morning all.
I've not received my renewal pack yet but I've just logged onto manage my tax credits and my payment for this week has increased by £4. Could this mean my renewal has been sent out?
Our income was £6000 less last year than it was in 14/15 so I was expecting my credit to go up a bit.
I also have an overpayment and they are taking £64 from me a week. It's now down to £1200.
Not sure what to make of it
Thanks

It could be but no way we can know for sure. Why not call them?0

This often happens at the start of a new tax year because HMRC forecast payments for the following years award. If you check your award notice for 2015/16 where it gives you dates and payments, it will have a date for April 2016 and the new forecast payment. This will be rectified once your award is finalised and renewed. The most potent weapon of the oppressor is the mind of the oppressed. Steve Biko0

On the last letter I had from them it said my payments would be £63 as of April and they stay at that til September, where they then double because my overpayment will have been paid off.
I'll just wait a few weeks now and see if my renewal pack comes. I've never had it before then end of June so just wondered of anyone else had had the same happen to them
Thanks for the advice both0 -
Hi, i didnt realise we can log in to manage our tax credits.
What can you see payment schedule etc can you see if renewal been processed or sent out yet?0 -
If you type in on Google 'manage my tax credits ' it'll come up. You need to set up an account and answer some security questions.
It doesn't show if your renewal has been sent but will show you when your next payment is due and how much you will get. You can also make changes to your circumstances on there which saves having to phone. Hope that helps0 -
Thanks so much, just registered.
DIdnt realise thats great was able to change my phone numbers on there too which says will amend in 4 weeks.
It does say i need to renew and will get my pack by 1st July.
So that must mean mines not auto renewal.
However they have a higher salary than what i am on, thought they updated by real time?0 -
I think it says the same for everyone. My payment has gone up by a few pounds. I don't know if mine is automatically renewed but it's the only reason I can think for there being an increase.0

Its showing as my next one is going up by £17. but cant have done an auto renew as my salary is wrong on there! they have it higher by about £500.
Maybe our slight increases are because of the rates been inflated0 -
Hi, I've just registered too and I'm about confused
The part where it says estimated income for my partner is that for 2016/2017 and it's there estimate?
Also it says I'm due an extra payment tomorrow only £10 why is that or is that what I'm gettin now ? As far as I know I don't have auto renewal but it's only the 2nd year of claiming as a couple so no idea
Don't think I should have looked I'm even more confused than I was before lol0 -
I think it can only show next payment thats due, not the whole schedule. Which i think it would be best to show whole schedule so people dont panic if they see next payment only.
My estimate i think is what they estimated at the end of last year cause i havent estimated that!0
