Quidco, British Gas, Switch Sites - Help Please
Hi All,
Probably a stupid question to which I can likely guess the answer but would appreciate a wiser head confirming for me.
I plan to switch to British Gas for my electricity (already have them for Gas) and so go onto a dual fuel plan.
I presume that i can EITHER go direct via BG (through Quidco) and get that cashback OR go through one of the switch sites (through Quidco) and get that cashback but not qualify for both ie: go through the switch site, get that cashback and then qualify for the BG lot too? (wishful thinking most likely i realise).
Secondly, am I right in thinking that I would qualify for £40 cashback from BG on signing up for the Electric and thus being essentially a 'new' dual fuel customer?
Thanks in advance for any help - just joined up with Quidco and wish I'd done it sooner :embarasse  but it's a case of getting the most out of it from here on in (learning curve!).
Jason.

I'm fairly sure that these three are mutually exclusive. I think the £40 deal is only available if you phone BG direct, and Quidco won't give you money twice for switching.
I await corrections.0 -
Thanks for that - i am however confused by you saying 'phone' BG direct? I thought all the Quidco stuff had to be done completely on the web?
Sorry - as I say - learning curve!
Cheers,

Possible I missed something. There is a £40 that BG staff sometimes offer.
I don't know what Quidco are offering, maybe I should look there...
Not sure if I really helped.0 -
Dont know what it is now via Quidco but a few months back it was £20 per fuel when using the Quidco links. So you would only qualify for one £20 ie leccy.
BUT they also pay for tariff changes, says £5, but paid me £20 twice for changing tariffs, from standard to Click2/3 (as already was with BG for dual fuel).
I would do a tariff change for gas alone then see if it tracks at Quidco, when it does then do it again for your leccy. that way you should at least get £25 but more likely £40.
You can also then change the gas to another tariff before winter sets in, that is if BG get it right which is on a prayer and a wing;)ac's lovechild0
