Refund - account closed

Hi everyone,
Just wondering if somebody can help me. I had aqua credit card, which I haven't been used really, but it was linked to my papal account. I have purchased some concert tickets through it but in the beginning of April concert was cancelled and money should be coming back to my Paypal and straight back to this credit card. As I was applying for the mortgage I have closed that card and account and removed from my Paypal, as I knew that money will be refunded to original source, but I wanted it to stay on my PayPal account, however it's still has gone to the closed credit card. I have contacted PayPal and they have provided me transaction ID and also they have tracked this transaction, saying that Aqua definitely owes my money, but after several contacts with Aqua they are stating that no money came back in to my account. Any advice what to do please?

Raise a complaint with aqua. They will need to look a little harder to find it - it may be sitting in a suspense account somewhere.

    Thanks
I was just about to write a complaint letter to them, as they don't seem very reliable through the phone.
Do you know about the ways of getting that money to me? I mean what should I ask for - to refund back to my Paypal or to issue a cheque ?

If they have it, they will refund by cheque or credit to your bank account.

They don't know my bank account, should I provide it in my complaint letter or better ask for a cheque?

Just focus on getting them to find it first.

They'll likely (automatically) send a cheque once they find it - payable to you - but sounds like you'll need to be proactive.

Keep nagging them to find it. I had a refund come back to my Aqua card after it was closed - took 3 months and about 5 calls to them before they paid the refund back to me.

(It was slightly different in my case in that they could see the refund had arrived at their end - but they needed a lot of prompting to sort it.)

    Good luck!

Oh God, that's a long period of time....the problem is that I am moving house, I really hoped they will resolve something within 1 months period at least...
