My son has a PlayStation 4, he's had it around 18 months and it had been working fine but recently we just cant get it working. Bear with my here as we are having a lot of different messages.
The current message we are getting is:
Checking the system storage status...
Do not turn off the PS4
When the check is complete, the PS4 will restart automatically.
Other messages I have been getting are:
Cannot start the PS4
Connect the DUALSHOCK 4 using the USB cable and press the PS button
Do this then this happens:
Connect a USB storage device that contains an update file for reinstallation for version 3.50 or later.
You can download the update file for reinstallation from playstation.com
I have an ordinary USB stick and managed to download it, put it on the stick and put the stick into the PS4 and nothing happened (this was a while ago)
Since then I have been putting it into safe mode and putting it back to its default settings but it just comes back up with this error.
Please help
