ReglazeMyGlasses £10 off March 2016 Offer

Options
Hello!

I'm posting in regards to the recent service received from Reglaze. I took advantage of the £10 off basic lenses offer that was promoted via Money Saving Expert back in March

This is the 2nd time I've used them, having no doubts not to. My glasses were sent off and efficiently sent back with new lenses and a repair and sonic clean that I paid £5 extra for

This time however, since sending them off my glasses have not been returned. Again I paid for a re-lense and sonic clean. Requested the box, sent them off having paid the fee

The glasses came back weeks later having been re-lensed, though they were not repaired on one of the arms as requested (and paid for)

I rang Reglaze and they said they can refund the repair fee or send another box out and they'll have the repair done. I requested for another box. It arrived and I put a note in with a brief explanation. This was at the beginning of April, it's now a month later and 3 emails sent to Reglaze requesting an explanation/ my glasses returned they've gone silent/ ignored my emails

Has anyone else used their service/ had a issue with glasses gone missing or not returned? :(

Thanks,
Robin

    Hi Robin,

Can you please call us on 0115 906 3010 if there is still an outstanding issue. I know we had a few technical gremlins with our new ticketing system, so I am sorry if this affected you. We would never intentionally ignore emails.

    Kind regards

    Robin,
As promised, I can confirm that my glasses where returned safe & sound even though I decided not to go ahead with reglaze.

I read on the MSE pages that with the offer code my glasses could be reglazed for £9.90 all in. I thought that's a good deal and sent off my glasses, duly the quote arrived back for TEN TIMES that, nearly £100 for plain glasses.

What a con and I hope I get my glasses back. The local pound shop sells glasses for only £1.

Used the Reglaze my Glasses service when it was first featured on this website, no problems glasses were done for the quoted price with the discount.
Decided to use them again after receiving the latest MSEOCT voucher. Sent off two pairs of glasses and was given a quote in excess of £100. They now use a "dispute" system if you are not satisfied with the quote. They had quoted me not for the £19.90 lenses with a discount of £10 = £9.90, which I thought would apply to both pairs, but for other lenses which were more expensive. I disputed the quote and was sent another one for £53.80 and then discovered the MSEOCT voucher only applies to one pair of glasses! apparently the extra cost would be for specialist lenses for my reading glasses. I had thought that the total cost would be £19.90 per pair with the discount off of both pairs and given I had not had a problem with the service previously, I would be satisfied with the company again. I have asked for my glasses to be returned to me and await to receive them, hopefully without incident. Will let you know what happens. Be advised that they have a pricing system now and you will not receive the cheapest quote automatically and for reading glasses over the normal prescription index you will be charged extra.

Glasses were returned without incident and I sent them off to Direct Sight to be reglazed, cost £20 each pair + postage. Price included coatings and no extra charge for the reading glasses. Even with paying postage is a better deal than Reglaze my Glasses. Would recommend Direct Sight, here's the link: help@directsight.co.uk :j

I am having trouble with Reglaze My Glasses.com. I sent a lovely pair of brown, mock tortioshell William Morris to ask if they were ok to reglaze. I heard nothing back, so rang & they said they had them & they were ok so I sent off another pair for pupil distance & prescription. I sent a letter & email saying only the William Morris pair were for reglazing. I got no reply. Someone rang me & I explained & thought we were ready to go. I got the pair I had sent for pupil distance back last Saturday but not my William Morris ones, but the pair I had sent for pupil distance which had been reglazed to a distance prescription, I want an intermediate pair for computer use. I rang but phone just kept giving me an option choice & I couldn't speak to anyone. So I wrote, explaining my problem enclosing the glasses saying I use my maiden name and married name, Lynne Pardoe or Davidson, & I've heard nothing. I am seriously disgusted by this service & unless its put right soon I'll be ringing trading standards & the senior staff here. All I want is for them to be reglazed and returned. Has anyone else had this problem? I paid over the phone a few weeks ago & know the money has left my account, Lynne.

this is what I have written on Trustpilot:
Paid £53.40 on July 17th for some glasses I had sent the week before. I wanted a brown William Morris pair reglazed with intermediate lenses for computer work & I sent my prescription & an old pair I had sent as a guide. 10 days later I received the wrong glasses, those I had sent so they could find my pupil distance. I sent them back with a return complaints letter saying I wanted my William Morris glasses with intermediate lenses but have no response despite being assured I would have a phone call yesterday or today, I got none. I'm going to Trading Standards, small claims court & Martin lewis, with whom they advertise.

Update on the above, this is how I rewrote my review on trust pilot, which they had seen and was the only thing they responded too.
I got off to a bad start with this company cos my glasses had gone to the back of the queue somehow, but once they were aware they were really apologetic and did my new glasses quickly, repairing the old ones and fitting them with an updated prescription free, so I now have two new specs, smart computer ones and distance ones and they are lovely, they have made a really good job of them. I got a pair of posh frames from eBay and had them reglazed for computer use at a bargain price! Buying pairs I could never normally afford and having them reglazed was a great move and one I'll be doing again and using this firm!!
