Show your cards?

Hi,
So I'm going to be fighting a ticket for my fiance. Her car was allegedly parked in a retail car park over the free stay period. I know there are points I can pick up about the NTK wording non compliance and with their entrance signage about group 1 text not being big enough etc. I have photos of me holding up tape measure next to the text to prove it's not big enough according to BPA COP appendix B.
Shall I bother saying these things in the first appeal to the PPC or is it a waste of time and shall i just make up some waffle to get a rejection and POPLA code? Is it a bad idea to show my cards to them so they may have a better chance to fight against them with POPLA?
Also, is GPEOL a definite no no these days?
cheers

Just use the blue text template in the newbies sticky; keep your powder dry for POPLA. Nothing you can say directly to TPS will get this cancelled.
Have you complained to the retailer/landowner - best way of killing this off without going through the hassle of POPLA. Do the complaint in parallel with your appeal to TPS, not instead. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Haven't done that yet. Thought as there's about 5 or 6 shops using that car park it might not be worth it but I suppose it might be worth it if it's in parallel.0

not in parallel , do it first ! , if that fails , then go thru the torturous task of arguing with money grabbing monkeys with no morals
speal to shop MANAGERS , not sales assistants or help desks.
photocopy the ticket (several times) , write your email/phone number on them , hand them to the managers , they will then have all the information needed , and can email / ring you back with the answerSave a Rachael

OK nice one I'll try that first and let you know how it goes.0

You only try it first if you've got plenty of time available to appeal to the PPC. Miss their deadline and any hopes of making an appeal to POPLA will all but evaporate - hence my advice is always in parallel. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. OK so I have a POPLA code now and I think I have some pretty good points.
POFA 9 – 2 (c)
describe the parking charges due from the driver as at the end of that period, the circumstances in which the requirement to pay them arose (including the means by which the requirement was brought to the attention of drivers) and the other facts that made them payable;
None were stated. It is free parking up to 3 hours but still. Worth putting this in?
POFA 9 – 2 (I)
specify the date on which the notice is sent (where it is sent by post) or given (in any other case).
Only an "issue date", no sent date.
BPA CoP 7: Written authorisation of land owner.
Is it worth asking them for this?
BPA CoP 18? Group 1 text
Text is too small on entrance signs. I have photos.
Shall I draft a letter with these points?
PS. They also got her name wrong. Idiots. They put my surname down instead. Worth anything?0 -
If their signs are clearly non-compliant, warn them that, should Popla agree with you, you will be invoicing them for their time. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0

Yes those are the sort of generic points to include. Some are shown here, already written:
https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/5482947
But your POPLA appeal needs a different version of the NTK point about para 9 (not para 8 as shown in the one above) TPS specifically, like this winning one already written and very detailed:
https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/comment/70501434#Comment_70501434
It's not a 'letter' as such, because POPLA is best done online by attaching a PDF detailed appeal under 'other'. Show us your draft which could be a copy/adapted version of those two linked examples.
Hmmmm...not sure, maybe that's because of the email address used for the appeal? Surely the first letter, the NTK, had her surname right so how did they get yours? You are not the appellant if this is her car.PS. They also got her name wrong. Idiots. They put my surname down instead. Worth anything?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
