Electricity meter changed, now we are in credit.

Hi all,
For the first time in 4 years we are actually in credit with our electricity. It seems odd that this has happened after we had a new meter fitted 8 weeks ago. Our average quarter bill was £240.00. 2 adults, 2 kids... both of us work and kids at school. We currently pay £78 per month direct debit.
A friend of mine with 8 kids:eek: uses just as much as we do.
When we first moved in this house 5 years ago our night units were 5 times the day units (honestly) and after many phone calls they did a correction.
I cant help feeling that we have paid way over the odds over 5 years now and was wondering if I should do anything about it and if so what.
Your advice as always much appreciated.

It could just be that you have been receiving estimates and by getting a firm reading off the meter, it has allowed your supplier to get you up to date.
The best thing you can do is make sure you are billed to proper readings supplied by you every quarter by contacting your supplier each time for an amended bill...often the tear off sip on the bill or via online services.
This is standard practice for suppliers, but maybe they haven't been gettung your meter read enough. Follow the above advice and you are protected for the future.
Good luck...:rotfl: It's better to live 1 year as a tiger than a lifetime as a worm...but then, whoever heard of a wormskin rug!!!:rotfl:0
