Can anyone work out what's going on here http://www.ebuyer.com/721896-asus-e402ma-laptop-e402ma-wx0055t
In case it's corrected by the time you view, it was showing this: (note price of same model in bottom left)

they are also able to sell you cd/dvd copies of Norton or even m/soft office , could be fun as the unit has not got an optical driveSave a Rachael

the cheaper one is win 8.1, free upgrade to win 10 anyway. got to be worth a punt if you want a lap top.
just read full spec, it won't upgrade to win 10Mr Generous - Landlord for more than 10 years. Generous? - Possibly but sarcastic more likely.0 -
Believe it or not, sometimes websites have mistakes.
Imagine what it's like trying to keep track of ebuyer's constantly changing product line.Move along, nothing to see.0 -

it can be , but its not an easy job , there is not enough room to run the installer for win 10 (thus making it legit)

The latest versions of Norton from whatever source you buy now only comes as a download - you just get a card with a licence key number on it.
They do not supply it on CD/DVD anymore.0 -

It worked fine - admittedly it was only 32-bit but I reckon I still had plenty space for the slightly larger 64-bit version.
Edit: or you could clean install using this technique. (Although I'd take a backup image first.)

There are even companies - I think Brandview is one - where humans sit in front of screens all day correcting them or filling in missing bits for shopping websites. Seems computers can't do everything, who would've thought it?0 -

It might be the same hardware, but these are different products as others already pointed out. Both products can have different software, accessories etc. Ebuyer buys product1 for price "a" and sells it for price "b" and buys product2 for price "x" and sells it for price "y". I don't see your problem. If you think product 2 is a better deal, buy it.0 -
I decided not to buy this because the RAM is non upgradable, but it has now dropped to £129.99 and I couldn't resist! The link is http://www.ebuyer.com/711779-asus-e402ma-laptop-e402ma-wx0055h or go via TCB for an extra 1.6% off.
I've downloaded Avast and Opera browser at the library onto a stick in readiness, so is there anything else I should be doing? I plan to run 8.1 for a bit before trying out W10, so is choosing 'Don't set up W Update ' enough to postpone the download? I'd like as little interference as possible from Google and MS, and none at all from Facebook and Ebay which would access my netbook despite me not using those sites.0
