Sheffield City Council PCN

Soo last night goy caught out by Sheffield City Council for Stopping where prohibited ( on a red route or clearway ). Which in I'll openly hold my hands up no argument there as in my rush to get parked up and get to the match I stupidly failed to see the bloody big No Stopping sign practically next to where I parked up might I add. However I'm a little miffed off with the whole Do as I Say Not as I Do attitude of Sheffield City Council as when I looked at the photos online from the PCN, directly parked behind me is Sheffield Councils Civil Enforcement car. I get that they are doing their job however they are also breaking the rules I mean they have done exactly the same thing what I have done. Shouldn't them selves be penalised for this. Unfortunately I don't have the reg for their vehicle however the Enforcement Officer was kind enough to leave his details. I am going to complain about this but is there any way of finding out if anything has been done from Sheffield City Councils end once I have complained i.e. they have paid there own fine or the officer has been fined, for all I know the email will prob get sent to the trash bin. Any advice is much appreciated.

It is not clear from your post if they were parked there to also go to the match, or whether they were only parked there doing their job of keeping the clearway clear. If the later, you are wasting your time, and the council's.The comments I post are my personal opinion. While I try to check everything is correct before posting, I can and do make mistakes, so always try to check official information sources before relying on my posts.0

By the looks of the photo's they have seen my vehicle pulled up gave me the ticket, I do get they are doing there job however they are also in the wrong. They have stopped on a no stopping route and on closer inspection of the photo's parked right on a junction that leads to a main road and bang opposite a dropped kerb aswell. I would upload the photos but have no idea to do so on here.0

Why do you say that, seeing as almost every person who appeals a PCN after getting advice from pepipoo, wins in the end?
It is NEVER a waste of time to appeal a Council PCN in my opinion. I helped a relative get TFL to cancel a box junction one from before Christmas where the car was stopped (just) in the junction and apparently bang to rights. But as usual, TFL had mucked up some basic things like evidence, set procedures and correct wording...
Do you think people are just meant to swallow it and pay because you think these Councils are 'only doing their job' and can park where they like, even in contravention and obstructing clearways? If so, then we must agree to disagree but it is certainly unfair to new posters on MSE, if you are spouting your provably incorrect opinion: ''you are wasting your time, and the council's'' on a parking tickets forum where we KNOW people get off these sorts of PCNs - regardless of fault or error by the driver - every day on this forum:

@Raisedfist, go there and register and post up pictures of the PCN, both sides, for pepipoo to look at. Nowt to lose by appealing.
HTH, live and learn, these are appealable - and why not? This entire site is about moneysaving!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
