Cheap Home Insurance with NFU Mutual

Hello All
I've just had to renew my home insurance which I've had with Tesco for the last few years. They quoted £312. I've been using NFU Mutual for my commercial van insurance and they offered to quote for the home policy. The quote was £259, and you can pay in monthly instalments for an extra 3% service charge making the total £268. Also the excesses were lower(only £25 on many clauses instead of £75 with Tesco).

Might be worth a look to get a quote. They won't come up on any comparison sites, but if you check

https://www.nfumutual.co.uk

you can find your local agent and give them a ring. At least they don't leave you sitting in a que for 20 mins!!.

I am in the insurance game ( a loss adjuster) and have insured with NFU for some time. I would not want to insure with any one else. They give a discount if you agree to a long term agreement, which is not a legal undertaking and you can withdraw from if you so wish at any time and their policy cover is in my humble opinion, one of the best. Their claims handling service is superb and will tend to try and find a way to pay a claim and not, not pay it.
