Roll-out of 10 to Windows Phone

All well except that the BBC News website has been replaced with a version that opens with a full page ad, and carries ad headers throughout the site. Navigation is haphazard, flies to foot of site when exiting any particular news item, instead of returning to previous level. Almost impossible to use in a structured way, as before. Can't find anything in the Store that might be the 'official' BBC News app.

No need for an app. Put bbc.co.uk/news into Edge browser, hit '...' and select Pin this page to Start and you'll get a tile with BBC News

^^ This. I had to do the same with mine. There is a Chinese app on the store, but as you have already said, it is an ad monster. The tile won't update with the headline feed, but I've learned to live without it.

Only problem I've come across is that a breaking news alert when viewing a story resets to the top of the current page when you dismiss it.

I wonder how come this fake BBC site was able to overwrite the original during/after the 10 update, and what else might be lurking on my phone. But I've followed I Have Spoken's advice and it's fine now.
