Help with childcare costs

I was just wondering if anyone could give me some advice on this. I live with my partner and 10 year old son. We are not entitled to tax credit/working tax credits as our income is too high. My childcare costs are approximately £20 per week and I was told I wouldn't be entitled to any help as our income is too high. I thought that the earning threshold was higher if you were just claiming childcare?

It is. However £20 childcare isn't very high so wouldn't increase your threshold vary much. Can you provide more specific details?
