Useless Southern Electric smart meter
Last November Southern Electric came and fitted a smart meter in our house as they said they were installing them in our area. I went through all the palaver on the phone and said I was happy for them to take readings every half and hour. The meter was installed all O.K. Then three months later a man came to read the meter. Eh?? When he saw the smart meter he was astonished "Where did that come from ?" he asked DOH!
Now even though he came and read the meter and we also have a smart meter which should not need reading I have not had a bill since November so I have paid nothing for 5 months. I e-mailed over a month ago and suggested a bill might be a good idea and they said they were still adjusting their systems to accept that we had a smart meter. I still have no bill.
Now on my online account I cannot access any of the graphs etc. I should be able to as it says I have only agreed to have the meter read monthly. What? It also says my next bill will be in September, when I have not paid anything since last November.
Honestly they are HOPLESS. It took about 3 years and all sorts of e-mails, phone calls etc. to get them to correct the address on the bill which they totally cocked up.
Has any one else had trouble with them?
